Randy K Wenzel Photography Workshops

California is a photographer's and adventurer's paradise. Calling Fresno his home, deep in the heart of Central Califonria, places Randy within a few hours of all the places he loves. Whether it's the many gorgeous National Parks - Yosemite, Point Reyes, Sequoia/Kings Canyon, Death Valley, or the "East Side" -The Owens Valley, Mount Whitney and the Alabama Hills, the ancient Bristlecone Pines in the White Mountains or Mono Lake, all are close by. To the west there is the California coastline; one of the most beautiful shores in the world. The best autumn colors in California are nearby in the canyons between LeeVining and Bishop. Randy has chosen to surround himself with some of the most beautiful areas in the world.

Randy was raised in California by parents fond of travel and the outdoors and started gathering his wealth of knowledge of the many wild and beautiful places at an early age. Adulthood only allowed him to take this love to the extreme, through his many adventures and explorations to areas seldom seen by others. Of course, his climbing, canyoneering, mountaineering and other adventures only helped to further this intimate knowledge of California's wild and scenic places. This intimate knowledge will be used to lead classes to the best locations, during the best times of day, during each workshop. The classes are designed to provide all photographers with a deep understanding of how to make the best use of natural light, composition, and the techniques that Randy uses in his own photography.

Randy's instruction includes a powerful teaching component which utilizes the proven learning process of discussion- demonstration-execution-evaluation. Each course will also include a syllabus, handouts, lectures, excercises, assignments, print reviews and more. All of this combined goes to great lengths to take the mystery out of the challenges so many aspiring photographers face today.

Our unique series of workshops and consulting programs is designed to help you:

• Improve your photography
Create better photographs
Get answers to all of your technical and creative problems no matter how long you have been photographing
Build or enrich your personal portfolio of beautiful landscape photographs
Discover new and rarely photographed natural locations

Tuition includes morning coffee and snacks, as well as a hearty lunch while we attend the day's lecture, and then evaluate our work. One of the best features of these workshops is Randy's intimate knowledge of places seldom visited, as well as more popular locations. We'll carefully focus on being at these locations, at the right time, already set-up and ready to work! Class size is limited to eight students to ensure that each participant can receive individual attention from Randy at every location.
